India has exported a consignment of 1.755 tonnes of organic 'Palmyra' jaggery powder from Erode district of Tamil Nadu to Varna, Bulgaria, on October 15, the commerce ministry said on Friday.
The powder, derived from Palmyra (a variety of palm tree) blossom nectar, is a traditional Indian sweetener with potential for value addition and wider international market acceptance.
